A home built on care and compassion
You'll notice the difference the moment you step inside
The smell of home-cooked food. Gentle music and a soft, calm ambience. Warm welcomes from familiar faces.
This home is where we live, in comfort and familiarity, where independence and dignity are cherished, and where families and care teams can partner in care.
Our vision
Canwick House has built a trusted 40-year reputation for compassionate and ethical care: placing residents at the heart of everything we do, with a uniquely personal approach that makes us very special in what we do.
Our mission
Care is a thoughtful act, shaped around individual routines, preferences and personalities.
Care is tailored to what matters most to each individual: if it's breakfast in bed we follow that rhythm, if it's al fresco in the garden, we make it happen.

Owner, Canwick House
Catherine Paul
Catherine has dedicated her career to adult social care, and Canwick House carries a quiet conviction: that every resident is welcomed as family, and that the quiet, ordinary moments of a day are where real care lives. Alongside Care Home Manager Gemma Pearcy, she leads a team that honours this home as exactly that, a home.
We've built our 40-year reputation on compassionate, ethical care, always placing our residents at the heart of everything we do.
Our story so far
1985
Where it all began
Canwick House opened its doors in Lincoln, built on a simple belief: that every person deserves to feel truly at home. A family vision that would last for decades.
1995
Ten years of care
Across Britain, a decade of change was underway: new technology, new sounds, a country finding its feet. At Canwick House, ten years in, our feet were firmly planted in what mattered most: people.
2005
Staying the course
London won its bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, lifting the nation's spirit. Two decades of care had given Canwick House its own quiet reason to celebrate, still here, still family, still home.
2012
A golden summer
Britain welcomed the world to London, with the Olympic opening ceremony paying a heartfelt tribute to the NHS and everyone who dedicates their life to caring for others. We felt that one deeply.
2023
A new chapter for the nation
A new King was crowned for the first time in 70 years. The nation came together, and so did we; residents, families, and staff, marking the moment as one.
2026
40 years and still going
Four decades of family-led care; the same heart!

Safe and familiar
As everyday tasks like cooking, bathing or getting dressed become harder to manage, families often find themselves making difficult decisions they never thought they would have to face.
“I've noticed how the staff approach is patient; it's often creative with some of the other residents living here. They're very warm and it's a genuine warmth!”
“We take the time to understand what matters most: a meal made a certain way, a quiet corner for time alone, watching wildlife in the garden, embracing friends and family visits.”
