Residential, dementia, respite and palliative care, plus support for people living with mental health conditions or physical disabilities, and woodland day care for the wider community. Through long-standing links with local GPs, nurses and hospital teams, medical support stays timely, safe and well coordinated.

Sometimes care is needed quickly, perhaps after a hospital discharge. We carry out a thorough pre-admission assessment and can often move at pace when it matters. We never rush the decision though, taking time to be sure our calm home is the right fit. If it is urgent, please call us on 01522 522275.

The cost of care depends on your individual needs, so we'll always discuss it with you openly during your visit or enquiry. We'll explain everything in clear language, with no jargon or pressure. If you have questions about funding or local authority support, we are here to help you understand your options. Call us on 01522 522275 to arrange a visit.

It depends on your loved one's financial situation, and there are broadly three routes. If savings or assets sit above the current threshold (£23,250 in England as of 2026), care is usually self-funded, which is the most common route for the families who come to us. If savings fall below the threshold, the local council may contribute following a financial assessment, and we can help you through that process. Where someone has complex health needs, NHS Continuing Healthcare may cover the full cost regardless of finances, assessed by a clinical team. None of this is one-size-fits-all, so we always recommend independent advice alongside our own.

The value of a property is only included in a local authority financial assessment if your loved one lives alone. If a spouse, partner or dependent relative still lives there, the home is disregarded. This is an area where many families feel uncertain, so it is well worth seeking independent financial advice. Age UK, Citizens Advice and the MoneyHelper service all offer free, impartial guidance.
