Cookie policy
Last updated: June 2026
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This page explains the small number of cookies (and cookie-like technologies) this site uses, and why.
What we use
We use only what is necessary to run the site and to understand, in aggregate, how it is being used. We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
- Essential: small browser-local values that help our forms remember anti-spam state during a single submission. These are not used to identify you.
- Anonymous analytics: we use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are useful and to spot performance problems. These services do not use cookies and do not collect information that could be used to identify you.
- Google Analytics: only if you agree. We ask before switching it on, and if you decline, or simply ignore the question, the analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page.
- YouTube videos: our About Us page carries two videos hosted on YouTube. Nothing is sent to YouTube or Google when you simply view the page. Only if you press play does the player load, and at that point YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address, governed by Google's own privacy policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which limits what is stored.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to read the site.
